We all have 24-hours per day. It is interesting that this is the only thing that everybody owns equally but we use it so differently. All time that we spend and works that we perform depends on the energy. Every morning when we wake up, we have a certain amount of energy for that day.
So, energy and time are our biggest resources.
At the beginning of the year, we can have a look at the year of 2020 like from the above. What for do we have to save enough energy? For our near and dear people, for the job that we love, most important professional goals, little things that bring happiness, rest, travels, personal interests. A lot depends on us.
What for did our energy went in 2020?
When I communicate with clients, colleagues I see and hear about a few main problems. One particularly strong habit is mobile phone. If you browse your phone only one hour during the day, that means that during the year you ”spend” 15 days for your phone. However, statistics show that approximately in 2020 smart devise user spends 3 hours and 6 minutes per days in his mobile phone (the consuming grew about 23 minutes per day because of COVID), and during the year it makes 47 days. It is very expensive pleasure.
Another partly related habit is the consuming of knowledge. Knowledge, learning, of course, is a positive thing, but we can notice how often knowledge and action (habit) goes different ways. Some people constantly participate in various trainings, goes from one to another, but nothing changes in their life. Knowledge and information or beautiful talks about desirable things (like life without stress) often is not in touch with reality or it is not applied in practice. And we learn by doing, experimenting, practicing, applying knowledge into practice. For example, if the specialist gives training about how to control stress in one’s life but himself experiences stress in life and cannot cope with it and meanwhile businessman who has never heard anything about stress management manages to deal with challenges with smile. First case the person has knowledge, and in the second case – skills. Learning without application in practice has no meaning. And currently we are learning so much that there is no time left to apply knowledge and ideas.
Also, a lot of our energy is taken by small habits that are difficult to notice at the beginning – when we try to better than the others, when we judge ourselves and others, keep grievances and think that life is unfair, think about reverence plans, worry and procrastinate, do not keep promises and feel guilty. These habits are like unseen holes through which our energy that can be directed to good and useful things, goes away.
It is already 2021! We always preparing to write a clean paper (from the next month I will eat healthy, do sports, go to the theatre and give more time to my friends, will not do mistakes) we think that we still writing a draft.
But life is a clean paper that is full of swipes, drawings, conscious and unconscious improvisations. Every day we open a new page and every year – a new chapter. Finally we have something „written“ and our book goes to mysterious eternity places.
